Board of Advisors

Jodi Brooks, board member at large, is a news reporter for television channel CBS4 in Denver and a founding member of Colorado Save Haven for Newborns. In 1998, Jodi was instrumental in creating Alabama’s Secret Safe Place for Newborns program and in passing their legislation. Jodi has worked to spread the word about alternatives to newborn abandonment nationwide by appearing on Oprah, The Rosie O’Donnell Show and Dr. Phil’s show.

Allen Cook, treasurer and VP of fundraising, is a Commercial Producing Agent for Stailey Insurance Corporation in Denver. He is affiliated with His Allies, a ministry of Southeast Christian Church in Parker that assists community members with free labor during times of need. As an adoptive parent to three children, he has a personal interest in the welfare of children born to mothers in crisis.

Jack Cozzens, ex officio member, is a founding member of Colorado Safe Haven for Newborns and past president of the organization. He is a retired engineer from Lockheed Martin and serves on the board of NET Ministries. His daughter and son-in-law started Wisconsin Safe Place for Newborns, and his son was co-founder of Minnesota Safe Place for Newborns.

Denise Goltz, VP of Special Projects, is retired from a long career in the telecommunications business sector. She has worked and travelled extensively in 14 different countries. She currently volunteers for the National Western Stock Show for different events throughout the year.

Sara Odendahl, Secretary and VP of Communications, is a government affairs consultant and lobbyist for Aponte & Busam Public Affairs. She has a strong background in community involvement and advocacy as a volunteer with the Junior League of Denver, March of Dimes and The Children's Museum.

Neil Rosenberger, board member at large, is a 30-year veteran firefighter who worked at a fire station that received one of the first babies relinquished under the Colorado Save Haven law. He is currently a Battalion Chief for the Breckenridge Fire Department, and is a founding member of the Westminster Fire Victims Benefit Fund and the Public Safety Recognition Foundation. He is also a team member of Mayflower CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) Team, an organization that helps emergency workers cope with psychological stress inherent in their job.

Wendy Walberg, President, is an attorney and managing shareholder of Walberg, Tucker & Holmes. She is a Board Member and Chapter Counsel for RMASIU, an insurance anti-fraud organization, Rules Committee volunteer for Colorado Women’s Golf Association, and a member of the Sonrise Band at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

Key Staff

Linda Prudhomme, Executive Director, has been with the organization since 2006. Linda is also the director of another nonprofit organization, XXYY Project, and is an active volunteer in her church and neighborhood.
